Id dropped my car down to the man the legend James King at JEK Fabrications  a while ago.

A couple years ago I'd discussed with him the air intake I wanted to do. It was complex, and involved more time and money than I could deal with at that point.

James pulled all the stops out, as per usual. He can virtually read my mind the fucker. It's just what I had planned! He did the same with the exhaust when I wanted that done! I hope he can't see all the sordid nonsense that goes in my mind saying that!

Either way, behold. The full titanium PVE 'Big Dong CAI' that I wanted!

Extra BHP's?! Probably next to nothing at this point, although, it's a bigger diameter than the alloy one we'd thrown together a few years ago. When we come to machining the supercharger out next year, we'll be all set and golden! I just wanted it. Because I'm a childish fuck, and I'm happy with that! 🤘

Also a thanks to Stefan Golesworthy for some last minute titanium profiling!

Thanks big man, for my Titanium Elephants Trunk, bring the noise!

Ed's Mk5 Ecoboost Track Car, Ed as far as I know Ed's Mk5 Ecoboost Track Car,

Ed as far as I know was one of the first people to run an Ecoboost in the Mk5 Fiesta all those years ago. It was magazine featured too, back when we had magazines, ahh, the good old days! Ed makes engine mounts for these little rockets, and has another build on the go as we speak!

Back when he first converted the vehicle it had an aftermarket ECU system on it. I think it's fair to say he slowly got a little dissatisfied with the system after a number of failures of various components. He made the decision to run the OEM ST180 ECU with an Immo off, and get it tuned accordingly to his hybrid turbo, and his Area Six engine.

I've dealt with Ed on a number of occasions, and well aware of his attention to detail and I was convinced we would be able to get the thing sorted for him.

We've worked closely with Kenny & Stu from Motorsport Developments LTD over the years, and knew this was a job for these boys!  A few datalogging sessions on the Dyno, and a the hybrid was dialled in giving us the boost curve and power curve we were after. Rev limiters raised, custom idle strategy as Eds engine mounts are designed more for 'track use' let's say, and some other little bits and pieces that he wanted.

The car made some nice power on his hybrid, but not absolutely ringing the neck out of it so nice for track use!

The PVE tuned Maxxecu powered Swallows XK8 doing the business. 

Lots of work gone into the development of this car from Swallows. Lots of custom handling and braking modifications making the old XK8 really sit up and roar!

The normally aspirated AJV8 topping 7250rpm helping jack pull some serious results in the series. Lots of fastest laps, lots of 1st places earning him some serious points.

Lots more exciting developments gone I to his new engine ready for next year, just to keep everyone on their toes!

Well done Jack, Tom, Gary and the whole Swallows Racing team. Proud to be a part of it.

We've been sending more and more bits and pieces a We've been sending more and more bits and pieces all over the world. It still blows my mind people buy our stuff from a little #tuningshed on the hill in Somerset! 

This is a harness for a Jaaaaaag, on its way over to Colt in Indiana USA. We've supplied a custom harness to his specifications, including all the relevent Bosch goodies to upgrade it fully.

We can't supply the actual ECU outside the UK so he's gone to his local dealer to collect a MaxxECU Race.

At least he can have a decent cup of Yorkshire Tea and some biscuits on us while fitting it! Sweets in a package is so last year. Tea and biscuits baby!

Another Turbo R53 built by @611motorsport running Another Turbo R53 built by @611motorsport running Maxxecu.

Joe's Time Attack Championship R53 is proof that although sometimes things don't go smoothly, but keeping a cool head and attacking issues face on can pay off in dividends. 

Joe purchased what was thought to be a high quality engine, but turned out to be a bit of a lemon. Fortunately, the boys at 611 were up the challenge. The engine was pulled and shipped off to @sc_porting who bored it, fitted a correct size set of pistons and sent it back to Dave at 611. It was then bolted back in, and the journey from Manchester to good old Somerset back to us was made!

The Maxxecu / Maxxtuning AB Race controls the W11 perfectly, coupled with our remote mount harness it's the perfect race combination.

Joe has in car adjustable boost, internal datalogging for all the normal channels, including oil temp/pressure fuel temp/pressure, lambda, boost ect ect.

Putting down the right numbers for the setup, and should be an animal. Good luck for Snetterton Joe & Dave.

If people don't know you make it, you can't  bloody sell it! I was told a while ago.

Popped this in the post last week. 👌I've sent a few of these out over the years, but never really bothered to try and sell them as there are various solutions already. That said, I keep getting asked to build them! 🤣

This system remote mounts the ECU. When messing around to a heavy extent with the R53, Turbos and the like, people often extend the wiring harness or shove the ECU in the scuttle.

This was my solution, it plugs into the standard connector, and has a rubber bulkhead grommet, so it can be mounted inside the vehicle. I have a various DT/DTM connectors for extra inputs & outputs. Natively will run coil on plug. 

Runs all the standard R53 CAN-BUS.  Being able to customise this is awesome too! Maxxecu being so flexible allows this easily. 

Natively runs the OEM map sensor for speed density, but can be configured to any sensor you like, or the on board sensor. 

On board class leading wideband lambda control.

On board knock control.

Bluetooth for the M-Tune dash or tablet. 

On board 1000hz datalogging. 

A few of these been running in various race cars, including Darren Duffield the Combe Hot Hatch champion 23'

Did I mention this will natively control DSG, we run this in our DSG compound charged hedge monkey!

Busy busy as per usual at this time of year. Coupl Busy busy as per usual at this time of year. Coupled with waiting for Dyno parts from Oz, it's been stressful!

Crazy too, a loom I built up for Swallows Jaguar - Swallows Racing  that's on its way to Oz! Fully terminated with the 8HP connector, and the BMW shifter connector. 

This loom runs the AJV8 4.0, and should be a simple case of installing a tune I'll send via email, plug in his own Maxxecu Race, and send it!

Sequential fuel injection, Bosch throttle body upgrade, knock control, all the good stuff.

Plenty of extra I/O on a DT 12-Way too for extra sensors and so on. A true plug in solution. This one is supplied with a fuse box solution also making the installation even easier. :-)

This is destined for a Jaguar Coupe. Will be interested to see how it looks. When it's done. :-)

Kens E36, purchased as a 328i, then upgraded to a very high specification. S54 conversion, LSD, Carbon Air ox lots of details and upgrades everywhere!

Booked in for us for a couple bits of wiring and to Boot the CSL flash onto the original MS54HP. EWS delete along with a few relevant changes due to a manual transmission change. Cam offset modification for OEM cams.

A quick run up on the Dyno for confirmation. 

Lots of induction noise, so naturally I popped the camera up for the noises!

Dave's a well known local car builder. Specialising in the American market. Historically, Dave can be found at Santa pod pulling quarter mile runs in this 1300bhp Camero.

It's recently been undergoing a conversion to make it into more of a 'Street Car'. This has involved some serious modification. Some serious upgrades. It's got modern power steering, a modern Z06 corvette independent rear axle. Air conditioning, a modern power steering system. 🤩

The engine is a nice new LS3, with the Magnuson Superchargers bolt on package.

Running the Maxxecu / Maxxtuning AB  Race ECU and LS harness package,  Dave got the car up and running himself, and we managed to finish the job off on the Dyno.

Good healthy numbers, and a fantastic torque curve you could put a ruler on!

We've boarded out our 'fast moving looms', Cosworth YB, AJ16, AJV8, K20A2 etc. All can be customised to an extent. This loom is going out for use with the stock distributer & coil. But many customers opt for the Coil On Plug option. This customer has opted for printed labels.

The loom is braided with Vidaflex® Monofil PE, this offers very good mechanical strength and also provide excellent resistance to salt water, oil, fuels and solvents. It is self-extinguishing and operates at temperatures within the range of – 70°C to +150°C. The junctions are adhesive heat shrunk and all applicable connectors are booted. Aux connectors on engine, aux connectors near ECU. Aux connectors in Deutch DT & DTM.

Full support with all packages & ECUs sold. We provide Teamviewer time and phone support to get your engine up and running. :-)

MaxxECU Street at the heart of this package. It's hard to think of a better specced ECU for the money than the MaxxECU Street frankly.

Marks X-Type new race car build. The first one on his grid to run the AJ30, so he wanted to make a decent job of it.

Naturally the Maxxecu Race along with the AIM MTX Strada would fit the bill. 

The Maxxecu is now configured to run the fly-by-wire, both inlet flaps, both VVT banks, sequential fuel injection and ignition. Knock control on both banks. Closed loop wideband with lean protection on both banks. Fuel pressure monitoring, and included in the fuel model. Oil pressure monitoring with shut down protection. On board logging up to 1000hz. Breath... One little box does the lot!

Dave from 611 Motorsport made his familiar journey down from Manchester last week with Steve's little Mini.

Dave has been building the car from a shell that Steve has supplied, and moved lots of bits and pieces over from his old build. Lots of new 611 Motorsport suspension bits and pieces along with some nice upgrades.

Look forward to seeing Steve out at Caldwell Park for the first round of Time Attack.

Kevin's epic Supercharged Mustang, following an engine rebuild, he decidded to get the calibration checked out.

We initially did some logging, and ran it on the Dyno to find lots of knock, and some lean conditions. 

We made the decision to modify the calibration accordingly, based on the logs. The ECU was encrypted. Naturally. Fortunately, I have some real good friends in the industry. Massive shout out to Kenny from Motorsport Developments LTD for using my Bench read to decrypt the lock, allowing me to tune it normally via HPTuners. 

At this point my HP Tuners  software decided it needed to update it's VCM firmware, and bricked itself beyond repair, naturally. So my my next shout out goes to Dave at MET & Metclean Automotive Equipment who lent me his HPTuners VCM for the day. I sent the wife up to collect it. 

What a day. 😂😂

Ultimately ended up with a happy customer and 730 safer BHP's.

But behold, the glorious noise of the supercharged 5.0 V8. 🔥🥳

Rick's Jaguar XJ. Sporting one of our AJ16 ECU & Loom packages, coupled with an AIM PDM08, and the Swallows M118 kit. 

We move the throttle bodies on the supercharged race cars wherever possible. It allows insane throttle response, and allows us to use tried and tested front mount intercoolers. It took some real time getting it all to work nicely though initially. Consistent power delivery is maintained through a whole race using this system though. 

We look forward to seeing rick out on this beast this year, race season is well upon us now!

Had a crappy couple of weeks honestly, started with getting a tooth pulled out, which went from bad to bloody worse!Id dropped my car down to the man the legend James King at JEK Fabrications a while ago.A couple years ago I'd discussed with him the air intake I wanted to do. It was complex, and involved more time and money than I could deal with at that point.James pulled all the stops out, as per usual. He can virtually read my mind the fucker. It's just what I had planned! He did the same with the exhaust when I wanted that done! I hope he can't see all the sordid nonsense that goes in my mind saying that!Either way, behold. The full titanium PVE 'Big Dong CAI' that I wanted!Extra BHP's?! Probably next to nothing at this point, although, it's a bigger diameter than the alloy one we'd thrown together a few years ago. When we come to machining the supercharger out next year, we'll be all set and golden! I just wanted it. Lack of updates this week, to which I apologise! A couple of Maxxecu's in for checking over. As we all know, water and electronics don't mix! The Maxxecu Street was sent to us to replace the on-board MAP sensor. These ECU's are absolutely solid they rarely give trouble of any sorts, but this customer had a bit of trouble, that inadvertently pressurised water down the vacuum line. We replaced the on-board MAP sensor with a genuine Maxxecu sensor. A quick test, and it's special delivery straight back to the client. We keep these in stock should this happen to you, we are more than happy to help. All the details are on the website. www.p-v-e.co.ukThe second was a Maxxecu Mini. Again, absolutely solid little unit. Until, the seal for the usb connection gets broken off, then gets taken for a little swim! 🫣🫣 In this instance, the ECU was sadly a write off. We like to keep the customer as happy as we can though, a brand new ECU sent out from stock with a good discount applied directly from Maxxecu themselves.
