A completely bespoke harness for your 4-Cylinder engine
We build a harness for your MaxxECU (Purchased from us) to your specifications for your engine.
How does this work?
We build a loom based on the details you send us. In some cases, you may be replacing an older out of date ECU & loom, in this case, you could send us the old loom. We can then use this as a pattern to copy the lengths of wiring and connector styles. If you don’t have an old loom, you can do one of two things;
You can draw out your loom. Measure carefully each length and make a drawing of the loom you are after. If you know the types of connectors you have, then brilliant, If not, some photographs of the connectors. All this can be E-Mailed over, until we’ve got a design we are happy with.
Or, you can make a mock up loom of what you want out of string, or cable. I show you a small example of this in one of my Youtube videos:

Once we have our design sorted, and we we are both happy we can then build up your harness. The base harness is built using the automotive grade PVC thinwall cable supplied with your MaxxECU loom kit. If you have not purchased this, or you are going for one of the higher options that does not use the supplied loom kit, then this is supplied by us.
Basic Loom Specifications
Your loom will be braided with Vidaflex® Monofil PE, this offers very good mechanical strength and also provide excellent resistance to salt water, oil, fuels and solvents. It is self-extinguishing and operates at temperatures within the range of – 70°C to +150°C. The junctions are adhesive heat shrunk and all applicable connectors are booted. We provide a single bulkhead grommet (51mm hole required) obviously pre-fitted to each loom. The grommet can taper either way to customers request.
Near the ECU we utilise the GT150 12-Way connector, using the standard pinout supplied with MaxxECU. This allows for a very easy connection to the vehicle. It will also connect straight into the MaxxECU Fuse box, to ensure a quick and trouble free installtion.
No solder used anywhere, all junctions and connectors are professionally crimped, using professional high end crimp tools.
Included connections allowable in the basic package are:
1 x Lambda
4 x Injectors
Cam Sensor
Crank Sensor
Throttle Body Connector
Throttle Pedal Connector
Air Temp
Coolant Temp
Ignition Coils x 4
3 x Aux (Temp, boost etc)

Spec44 Upgrade:
The above package can be upgraded to the Spec44 / DR25 spec. This is a good motorsport grade package. The entire loom is concentrically twisted using Spec44 cable. It is covered in DR25 heat shrink. The transitions, and backshells (if required) are shrunk with ATUM. A great value motorsport level system that has proven very popular.
Our looms are built to high quality, we have invested in all the relevant genuine tooling to ensure absolute reliability long term. We have total confidence in each loom we build. Each loom is load tested as required.
