Maxxecu Race fitted, and setup, including lots of protection, as I like to include. 👌 All the usual stuff too, closed loop Boost, car integration etc etc

This Martin & Simon's hillclimb/sprint car, at Wiscombe hill Climb a couple of weeks ago, they managed lots of personal bests, some class leading times, and even made the local paper.

The whole time my brother's owned this little Fiesta, over 15 years, one of the bug bearers, has been the cut sunroof. It was the thing to do back in 1982 of course. Often at the dealer.

Either way, various Methods of resolving this have been discussed, and explored. We always end up at the same conclusion though. Carbon.

After having spoken to various people over the years, the one name that kept being top of the list was @autoflock_motorsport

Finally, the trigger was pulled.

The finish is epic, the guy is sound. Well worth the drive in a Sunday.. 💪💪Quality, and finish were our main concerns, we didn't want to revisit this in a few years. We're confident we used the right guy. 👍👍

The next decision of course, is the new colour for the car. The argument between myself and @simondowell will be to paint it the same colour of the car or not. 😂😂

K20 Citroen C2,

We've all done it. Sat amongst a group of mates, "I'm gonna throw a K20 in that". 90% of us talk about it, 10% act on such ridiculous nonsense.

Introducing Ken 'Full Race' Pimperton, and his already totally stripped out track C2, effectionately known as the 'Shitroen'. Has run for a year or so faultlessly on a cammed 16v VTS motor. He decides one day to throw a K20 into this thing, as seems to be the way these days! I've never seen one in a C2 though in fairness!

This thing, is light. I mean crazy light. I was strapping it down into the Dyno, and sneezed (not a Covid related sneeze), and the thing moved across a few inches! 🤣

This, is the first incarnation of this thing. It's literally going to be double the bhp very shortly. He's bought himself all sorts of goodies to bolt on! 😁😁

Anyway, listen to that 'C-Tek' yo!

Still need to properly fab up the trailing arm. Just some modified ones on there for a moment.

That's the rear end structurally buttoned up. Quick coat of primer on the fresh steel parts should see it safe enough until painted.

Whole rear suspension turretting and new cradle mount tied in completely with the full cage. Just some alloy panelling at the rear end to cover over where we can see through it! 👌🤣

Next on the list really is the tunnel. Get the tunnel fabricated and welded in, and a propshaft designed and built I suppose.

First of the AJ16 jaguar straight 6 supercharged loom and ECU packages being sent out next week.

Minor connections to the vehicle required. Allows the AJ16 to run like a sewing machine in anything. Closed loop fuelling, sequential fuel injection, various protection strategies.

We've been lucky enough to work with @swallowsracing developing this package. Proof in the pudding by various race wins in their @maxxecu powered AJ16 race car.

Both sides of the rear strut mounts are now in place and alignment is spot on. You can see the original strut tops further to the rear of the car from the old setup. We wanted to get the whole new setup tacked in, before we remove these completely. We can start fabrication on the new rear tubs shortly. All the 'box section' you see is just there for support and alignment. All temporary.

In other news, carbon roof has been ordered, we can go and collect that once lockdown has disappeared! Hnmmm. Carbon...

I've been looking into the electronics a little. Getting things sorted. Obviously the class leading Maxxecu Pro, and the PDM20. A few other little bits and pieces to be finalised.

Mr Mizens cracking little 1.4 16v, putting down an epic 120whp on the Dyno-Dynamics at 8250rpm

Full race engine, obviously. Consider the engine left the factory with 78bhp at the flywheel, I'd say the engine builders did a decent job!

Prepared by the boys over at Engine Evolution As always with these guys, well prepared, and literally ready to tune. 👌👌

Thanks to the very helpful guys at DTAFast for unlocking the ECU, saving me some hours! Always nice when someone Pin Code locks the ECU.... 🤦‍♂️

Sorry I've not posted in a couple of weeks. To say it's busy would be a fair understatement.

Race tracks opening only meant one thing really. Crazy mental.

This is Darrens R53 race car. He did last season at Combe running the stock management, tuned here of course. Managing to get the lap record in his class, but missing the top dog podium slot! Hopefully this year will change that. Now running Maxxecu, and some lovely little bits and pieces made by Darren himself.

I've got some really, really special stuff booked in. I'm an absolute sucker for the interesting stuff as you know. I've got some genuinely interesting historically significant bits and pieces in for various bits, that I'd love to tell you about, all in good time. :-)

I've got lots of stuff going on, you hopefully will find interesting, I know I do. Lots of YouTube content coming soon when I sit down and edit it, (when I don't finish up as midnight that is)!

Again, were still in lockdown, and for the foreseeable, we will be adhering to our rules of no entry.

So made up solid rear 'shocks', to mock up the suspension arm angles with rode height ect.
Made up some new suspension turrets, that house the same Compbrake adjustable top mounts as the front.

Tied into the original cage well. You can still make out the old topoint for the original shock. These will be removed in good time, and 'tubbed' in properly once we are happy with the suspension setup. :-)

Nice to see a wheel back on the rear! Even if only temporary!
