E46 M3 CSL Flash

A customer contacted us as he’s fitted an E46 S54 M3 engine to his E36 track car.

We booted his OEM S54 M3 ECU with modified CSL software. Including EWS OFF.

Flashing the MSS54HP ECU software in a BMW E46 M3 with CSL (Competition Sport Lightweight) software involves us upgrading the ECU firmware to enhance performance. The MSS54HP ECU is the Bosch DME (Digital Motor Electronics) module that controls engine parameters like fuel injection, ignition timing, vanos and other important aspects for optimal performance.

The CSL software, that’s found in the BMW E46 M3 CSL is a high-performance version of the E46 M3. The CSL software is more aggressive in terms of power delivery, throttle response, providing the car with improved performance over the standard E46 M3. It allows complete removal of the M3 MAF Sensor and fitment of a MAP sensor.

We completed this work on the bench and posted it back to the customer within 24hrs of delivery to us.
