Freelander 2 dpf issues resolved

This freelander 2 we remapped back in 2014. It has been running faultlessly until the dpf piped burned through, a very common issue on these vehicles. Practically the first thing to check. It had been mis-diagnosed elsewhere, and had the dpf removed. The dpf functions had been removed using automated software, leaving various running issues, apparently not resolvable by the ‘dpf removal specialist’. The customer got no luck from whoever this was, and came back to us. We got hold of another DPF filter, refitted this, and restored the ECU to its previous state. Problem solved, unfortunately for the customer an expensive one.

Ensure whoever you choose for your remapping, diagnosis or dpf issues very carefully.
