Neal Jones from RED Winches fame, gave me a call regarding the tuning of his LY6 V8 powered Ultra4 truck a while ago. Now, if you've ever done any off roading, you will have no doubt come across 'Red Winches'. One of the top winch manufacturers on the planet. So, we already know the trucks going to be 'proper'.
Proper, it is. The thing literally only just fits on the Dyno! 🙈 I need a ladder to get in or out of the thing. Loving it already!
She sounds monsterous. Genuinely monsterous.
A fresh build motor, with a few nice bolt in goodies. A few mild hardware mods to the fuel system, and we are ready to go.
Some tuning on HP Tuners to sort the engine tuning out on the rollers, and Neal's ready for some testing.
We've still got some bits to do in the gearbox tune in fairness, but that's going to be easier in the real life situation. Meet you in Portugal Neal?!
